II Corinthians 4:13 – “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”.
In our last lesson, we saw Jesus’ bold confession of His oneness with the Father. We can’t be more ‘humble’ than Jesus.
We must be loud and bold in confessing our oneness with divinity. Our confession is our faith’s corresponding action.
Faith without corresponding action is dead.
Confession (Greek: homologia) means saying the same thing. It means saying what has been said. It means saying what God has said.
We didn’t make ourselves who we are. It is the work of God from start to finish. We can’t therefore be ‘shy’ of what God is proud of. Dumb faith isn’t faith at all.
I Corinthians 1:30 – “God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus…”
We are in Christ. God sees and accepts us in Him.
He is our life.
He is our ability.
We have arrived our eternal home.
In Him we make bold to declare:
“I and my Father are one”.
