“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power”.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)”.
In our last episode, we saw that we were one with Christ in His death (we died with Him).
Today we are looking at another powerful reality: we are one with Him in His resurrection.
Our union/identification with Him in His death was the end of the dominion of sin. In Him the full penalty/sentence for our sins was served.
“Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God]”.
His resurrection was (and is) our justification. In Him we stand justified before God. Much more, whatever can’t conquer the risen Christ can’t conquer the New Creation.
“Because we know that Christ (the Anointed One), being once raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him. For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him]”.
The New Creation is NOT under the control and penalty of his sins.
I Corinthians 15:17AMP
“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is mere delusion (futile, fruitless), and you are still in your sins [under the control and penalty of sin].
The old man (sinner) was nailed to the cross [crucified] with Christ. The New man is a new creation. He never existed hence has no past. More so, he is in Christ. God sees no blemish in him.
We can therefore boldly declare that sin, sickness and death has no dominion over us because we are one with Him in His resurrection. In Him, we are as free as the risen Lord.
The resurrection is heaven’s proof that Satan is eternally defeated.
