I Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-
Jesus is NOW our righteousness.
To be righteous means to have a right/unquestionable standing with God. It means to be seen as just. It is the ability to stand before the Father without a sense of condemnation, unworthiness, guilt or fear of rejection/punishment.
This is who Christ is to everyone in Him. The Father sees and accepts us in Him.
Christ is our righteousness. No righteousness is better than that. Our righteousness far exceeds that of the Scribes and Pharisees because it isn’t earned by performance and doesn’t fluctuate with it. Our righteousness is a person. His name is Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. How can there be?
Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? Will Christ Jesus? No, for he is the one who died for us and was raised to life for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us.
Jesus (our righteousness) is already before the Father. In Him we live and move and have our being. There is a new sense of acceptance, confidence, assurance and boldness amidst challenges of life.
The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
We pray in His name. The answer comes in His name. There is no need of a sense of fitness to receive from God. Christ is our qualification.
When we decree a thing in His name, creation must adjust itself to bring it to pass as it would to Jesus. He is our standing.
Receiving Jesus is receiving righteousness.
This is the key to reigning in life: receiving hyper grace and the gift of righteousness.
