What is good about the Friday?

As Christians all over the world commemorate the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ today, I can’t help but celebrate the ingenuity of the person who came up with the phrase “Good Friday”.

Going by church history and tradition, this was the day all of Heaven stood still and watched as all of Hell rejoiced (in folly) at the Lamb slain. This was the day the core of God’s Salvation Plan was set in motion in the earth realm. This was the day mother earth opened wide its mouth to receive the sacrifice/precious blood that brought us forgiveness of sin; reconciliation/peace/security; deliverance; preservation; healing; prosperity; Life of God (divinity in its fullness); authority; righteousness; favor; glory and all our inheritance/fullness of the Blessing. This was the beginning of a change in status and class; as mankind translated from mortality to divinity in the earth realm. This was the day our initiation into God’s kingdom was performed in full –

Colossians 1:12-13 – “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”

God demonstrated the height and depth of his love and goodness to mankind on this special day; hence the phrase “Good Friday”.

To the kingdom of darkness, it was a “black Friday” but to us, it was the wisdom of God in display. No wonder, when they (kingdom of darkness) understood the irreparable damage Jesus’ death had caused them, they lamented: “Had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”.

God patiently waited from the foundation of the world to bring us these goodies on this special day. In light of these goodies, we owe Him nothing but thanksgiving. He does not require our ‘emotionalism’ and empathy but THANKSGIVING in honor of the goodies He has freely given us. When someone gives you a good gift, you rejoice and not wail otherwise you might send off the wrong signal.

Today marks our access into the good life! Celebrate the good life!!
