In restoration, God brings you back and navigates a new path for you (1).png

In our previous post, we defined restoration and described man’s original state before the fall and his state after the fall. Today, we will be looking at his new state in God’s salvation plan.

Recall that we highlighted some of the things man suffered as a result of the fall: Identity crisis; death-eternal separation from God & physical death; loss of authority and dominion; fall in ranking; limited expression of glory; and the curse. We will show you by the scriptures how these things were all taken care of by Jesus Christ.

The first thing God tackled was the issue of our identity. The first man (in Adam) was CREATED with an earthly origin, but the last man (in Christ) is BORN of God with a heavenly origin. The former had an identity crisis because of sin, but the latter has a new (never existed before) and branded identity in Christ:

II Corinthians 5:17AMP – “Therefore if any person is (ingrafted) in Christ (the Messiah) HE IS A NEW CREATION (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

Now, this new man in Christ no longer has sin issues and have been reconciled back to God; has been given authority over Satan and death; is designed to live forever eternally; has been elevated to God’s rank/class; is blessed with all spiritual blessings; and has been given so many rights and privileges. Hallelujah!!!

Romans 6:14 – “For sin shall not have dominion over you…”

II Corinthians 5:18 – “And all things are of God, who HATH RECONCILED US TO HIMSELF by Jesus Christ…”

Luke 10:19 AMP– “Behold! I HAVE GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY AND POWER to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and (physical and mental strength and ability) over all the power that the enemy (possesses); and nothing shall in any way harm you”. Satan has no power over the new creation; the new creation is in charge!

Hebrews 2:14-15 – “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that THROUGH DEATH HE MIGHT DESTROY HIM THAT HAD THE POWER OF DEATH, THAT IS, THE DEVIL; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”. The power of death has been destroyed; the new man is no longer subject to the fear of death.

Romans 6:23b – “…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The new man has eternal life. Ref: I John 5:12.

Ephesians 2:6 – “And hath raised us up together, and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus…” Our position has changed in Christ; we have been elevated to the God-class. We are now far above angels and they have been appointed to minister (serve) FOR us. Ref: Hebrews 1:14; I Corinthians 6:3.

Ephesians 1:3 – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath BLESSED US WITH ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS in heavenly places in Christ: We are now possessors of the Blessing. The curse is now history. Ref: Galatians 3:13.

John 1:12 – “But as many that received Him, to them gave he power to BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on His name”. We now have right to sonship; and we also enjoy sonship privileges.

God’s demonstration of His restorative ability in His salvation plan is not just about salvaging/fixing what was damaged by Satan through sin, but a creation of something far better than the original. The damage was considered irreparable but God remedied the situation by making the latter far better than the former.

If He could display such dimension of restorative power in the salvation plan, then that same power is bringing order to every chaos in your life today!
